The Importance Of The Unity Of The Body Of Christ (Part 3)

Posted by: Minister Robert McConkey on Tue, Sep 7, 2021

Since Sectarianism is the root cause of spiritual immaturity, for us to be free of it, we it is important to realize who we are really are to follow, and that any Christian leader leads under the direction and guidance of Christ

Today, I am going to conclude part 3 of this message. You already heard that Paul pointed out that in 1 Corinthians 3:5-10, that  Christ is our true Leader, as the Head of the Body Of Christ, and that Christian leaders that He puts over any church, lead the members of them in under HIs leadership, because they are they are not the Head of The Church-Christ is, when "What then is Paul? And what Apollos, but ministers through you believed, and to each as the Lord gave. I planted, Apollos watered, but God made to grow. So as neither he planting is anything, nor watering is anything, but God making to grow. So he planting and he watering are one, and each one will receive his  own reward according to his own labor. For we are fellow-workers of God, a field of God, and you are building of God. According to God's grace given to me, as a wise master-builder I laid a foundation, but another builds on it."

In our vernacular, he said to the Corinthians that were being spiritually immature, "Stop fighting among yourselves, on who you are followers of, and making me or even Apollos your leaders. Both Apollos and I are nothing more than servants of Christ with the same goal, the furtherance of the Gospel that we preached to you, that brought about your faith in Christ. We each had a part in your growth as Christians, I planted the "seed" of the Gospel, within you, and Apollos "watered," in order for it take "root" within you each of you, and "bloom." within you, as we did also did with others we ministered to, but God is responsible for its growth in you. This means if anyone should take the credit for your becoming Christians it is God, not us."

I know that I said I would conclude this message, but we need to take a break for now.
