The Centrality Of The Ressurection Of The Dead On Ressurection Sunday Part 1

Posted by: Minister Robert McConkey on Tue, May 11, 2021

If there is no ressurection of the dead, then all that Christ endured on our behalf was for nothing (continued)

Now, to continue with the first of this message.  Remember, when I said in May 5, that  the fourth step in confronting the Christians I talked about,  in correcting them and exposing their error, was to reveal to them, that are they are saying that anyone making the declaration liars and ingenue witnesses. Once we have done that, the 5th step needs to be taken in regard to them.

They need to be made aware of what this also means to their faith, that they consider so precious. And that is what Paul, in confronting the Corinthian Christians who were saying that there was no resurrection of the dead. He said in 1 Corinthians 15:16,17  "For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised. But if Christ has not been raised, your faith is foolish; you are still dead in your sins."

In our own vernacular again, he said, "You also need to know, what it means if there is no resurrection of the dead, thereby making Christ's resurrection non-existent. It means that your faith not only has no value, but there also is no wisdom in it, because it is foolish to believe in Christ for your eternal salvation, if His resurrection didn't happen, because you professed that there is no such thing as the resurrection from the dead. So since His resurrection can't happen, unless there is, and if He didn't, it leads to only one glaring fact--that you are still unrepentant sinners, because you have not redeemed and saved from the penalty and power of sin."

This is the 5th step, that needs to be taken, in confronting Christians, that choose leave out the resurrection of Christ, and believe that all that matters that is He was crucified, died for our sins, and was buried.  They need to be made aware, that doing so makes them fools, because there is no wisdom in believing in one whose resurrection never happened, when in fact, He did. And the reason why it is, because it that means that they have not been saved from their sins and became creations in Christ. Someone who only died for our sins and was buried, but never rose from the dead, can't save deliver and save anyone, and make them spiritually alive.
