why do you need to be Baptized?

Baptism IS IT NECESSARY?

Let me start off by saying when and how I came to be baptized, it was 50 years ago on September 3, 1967 when the Lord moved in my mind to repent of all my old ways and sins then follow him to live by his laws to live forever in the Kingdom of God.

If you read my testimony, you will see the path in which God worked in me from the time I was born. I grew up mostly in the back of my grand mother’s home which was half home and half church. You see my grand mother Lottie Thornton/Brown was a Pentecostal Minister of Jesus Christ! Usually she would rent an old store with a kitchen and room for a bed in the back or a big house to use the front as a church for people of all ages and creeds to come to hear about Sweet Jesus she would say. Grandmas’ youngest child was my aunt Wanda who was only five years older than I so we both were raised going to church because we lived in it.

Wanda and I would help set up chairs, place bibles on some, clean off the pulpit then. Sweep and mop the church floors so they were clean and ready for services. Grandma Brown would leave the front open with a sign in the window inviting anyone to come to either bible study Tuesday night and Thursday Night and of corse Sunday morning services. Sometimes during the week only two or three people would come in to get out of the cold or heat to chat over coffee but they wouldn’t leave without hearing about our sweet Jesus and what he did for them and all people who wanted to repent of their sins ! 

Miss Lottie is what most people called grandma, at least the women, and even some of the men as they got to know her. Others called her a massager of God and she was. Grandmas would be praying all through the day for people who asked for everything from healing to paying bills and of corse emergence and life threatening sicknesses

I never, even to this day, ever saw a person down on their knees crying and praying like my grand mother. She would pray about everything and for all her children and grand children to be saved by the blood of Jesus! Amen. She knew the world was getting worse and she knew we would all be tempted by the new age of rock n roll, drug, sex and immoral ideas. Boy! , Was she right almost all of us her child, Wanda and me and my cousin’s went off track in the late 60's and 70's away from church and Christian values to follow the ways of this old world, but she prayed for our salvation and she taught all of us who Jesus Christ was and is today so we all came back over the years to our Father God and repented of our sins to be ready for the coming Kingdom of God?

I am going on here because I think it important for you who are reading this to know me and where I came from and maybe why you would listen in further to what I have to say?

Back when I was about 11 years old my aunt Wanda and I were swimming at the public swimming pool and talking about Jesus we did that a lot I started crying for no reason while thinking about what Jesus went through for me, handing in that tree and bleeding to death and saying “FATHERS FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO” 

I wanted to be baptized right there and than and Aunt Wanda wanted to be a minister so she said I will baptize you right here in this pool if you are ready? I said yes do it I want Jesus in my heart right now I was about 12 years old so under the water I went and when I came up I felt wonderful and knew the Lord had given me a new life in him. I think there were two or three other kids who watched what we were doing and they wanted my aunt Wanda to baptize them also so she did then the life guards saw what we were doing and told us to go home, that church was for things like what we were doing not the public swimming pool this was the first time I felt like being changed and baptized.

Like most teens I wondered off the path and went into listening to the Beatles and Elvis, Chuck Berry, I started going to dances where I learned to dance without being shy like when they taught dancing in high school with all those other young teens watching in the gym floor, you remember how they told you to hold the girl so close but not to close, I was so afraid I could not hardly move but, at the dance it was dark and I had a few beers and when I asked a couple of girls that one of them said yes and it started then, I liked holding a warm body up against me and swirl around the dance floor. So I went head long into ROCK N ROLL. SEX, DRINKING and doing all the things young people were doing in the 60's. I quit going to church because I felt guilty doing the things I was doing, so I just got further and further away from God.

Then the Cuban Missile crises happened in 1962 we all watched TV and after President Kennedy spoke my dad turned to us all and said we are going to all go tonight to be baptized to be saved!
I was going to repent of all I had done in my 16 years, for I truly wanted to be with Jesus which I had known all my life and so I was Baptized again.

When the crisis was over slowly everything returned to normal and we stop going to church again so as a normal teen I started slipping back to my old ways. Please read my testimony for the rest to those days.
I want to get to repentance and the glory of knowing God and his word. As you study the bible you start to learn more and more about the great sacrifice the Father went through as Jesus /Yeshua GAVE HIMSELF UP TO DIE FOR YOU AND ALL MANKIND’S SINS SO THAT WE COULD BE CHILDREN IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD ! 

You see each one of us have to come to the knowledge of whom God the father is and who his only begotten son Jesus is, THEN REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED FOR THE REMISSION OF OUR SINS!

Once again I was repentant and wanted to start fresh again in my walk with the Lord so Fifty years ago on September 1967 I gave my life over to the Lord to change me and make me into what he wanted and it took years, yes I said years of molding me into a new man and as I started to change within I started studying the word of God, I went to many hundreds of bible studies and took courses in bible study also I started doing men spokesmen club. God gave me the abilities to talk to people and share how I had come through all the things I had gone through to tell people in truth God really does care and he really does love each and every one of us ! 
So today brother and sister as you are reading this, then open your heart and ask Jesus to come into your life .No matter how far you have gone off the path, Your Father IN HEAVEN LOVES YOU STILL SO REPENT NOW. Ask him to change your life find a church that teaches from the bible and be baptized. Jesus is waiting, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

When I finally gave in, I was riding in my car and I was disgusted with my life and wanted to die. It was late the night before I was to be baptized and here I was driving over 100 miles an hour on a road raining like dogs and cats when I pulled over and stopped by some field I got out of my car went into the field, I shook my fist into the sky, and I said at the top of my voice “God take my life, here right now! or change me?  I do not know what to do.? father I am done with this life ,I see no way out Let me serve you or just kill me here in this muddy field? lighting struck all around the sky I HAD DROPPED TO MY KNEES , I was knee deep in mud crying my heart out to my maker, to kill me oh Lord God or change me, the rain had died down and I got up feeling like a load was lifted of my shoulders.  I got back in my car went home and the next day I was finally changed and baptized into the Lord God!  I had been trying to do the will of my father with many ups and downs over these many ,many years but, I am holding on to the end to be with the Lord Yeshua Messiah and our Father Yahweh to be with them forever.

The Reward of Believers
Salvation and eternal life in Yeshua /Jesus as children of God, in communion with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. True believers will have their inheritance reserved in heaven to be bestowed fully at the second coming of Christ. The resurrected saints will reign with Christ in the kingdom of God for a 1,000 years, Then Almighty God will come to earth to rule and live with His children forever in a New Earth and Heaven. (Revelation 5:10; 1 John 3:1-2)Romans 8;16-21; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 John 2:25; Colossians 1:13; Daniel 7:27; 1 John 3:1-2; 

Eternal Judgment
At the end of the age, God will gather all the living and the dead before the heavenly white throne of Christ for judgment. Yeshua our Lord makes gracious and just provision for all, even for those who at death appear not to have believed the gospel.

Water baptism
Signifies that you a believer' must come to repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ /Yeshua Messiah as Lord and Savior, by the blood of JESUS and with this service you are   participating  in the death and resurrection of Christ our Lord

Baptism of the Spirit and fire refers to the regenerating and purifying work of the Holy Spirit which comes to you after you receive Baptism. We baptize you in the Name of the Father, Son and The Holy Ghost ,and by using the name of Jesus /Yeshua then by immersion under Water and laying on of hands, we ask the Lord to Baptizes you with fire by giving you the Holy Spirit! Here are scriptures for further proof about being baptized (Luke 3:16; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4-5;1 Peter 1: 3-9; Matthew 3:16; Acts 1:22)

This is for those who chose to follow Jesus and are baptized in his name yes all “ who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance. Praise to God for a Living Hope Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time “  (1 Peter 1 :2-5)

Once again I ask, whoever is reading this message right now? 
Your loving Father in Heaven is waiting for you to bend your knee and say “CHANGE ME” Go find a church and ask them to baptize you as soon a s possible for we are out of time the end is near, what are you waiting on? Do not be one who says I am not worthy to be baptized so you wait you think until I get better NO JESUS SAID COME JUST AS YOU ARE” Please do not wait any longer do it as soon as possible while it is still today!
