Subject: LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

YOU ARE COMMANDED TO LOVE ONE-ANOTHER!

MEMORY VERSE: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12

BIBLE READING: John13: 34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

In Heaven, God has an army. When He came to the earth, the Lord Jesus raised another army. Just before He left, He gave three sets of orders to His army on the earth. If we must satisfy God’s expectation on the earth and to be reunited with Him in Heaven for eternity, we must be aware of these orders and live with them. “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”John 13:34-35

The first of such orders is that we are commanded to love. This command is repeated in John 15:12, 17. One distinguishing feature that characterizes the Lord’s army is love. If you are a true soldier of Jesus Christ, you will be able to love your fellow brethren whether they deserve it or not. It is easy to love those who love or pretend to love you. But it is not easy to love those whose mind and feelings towards you are uncertain. It is even difficult to love those who act deliberately against you. Whether people are loveable or not, you must love them as a true soldier of Christ. It is not an option but a command. It is not enough to profess love, concrete effort must be made to ensure that the love professed is genuine. According to Romans 12: 9-10, with this kind of love, you will even prefer your brother to yourself. Where there is genuine brotherly love, nobody struggles for position or power. If you schemed your way into your present position, you lack the love of Christ. If this love is present, you will happily subordinate yourself to your brother or sister. You will not be filled with only thoughts about yourself; you will not give pride a chance when you truly love.

This is the type of love existing within the Godhead; hence there is no trace of rivalry between them. If you cannot demonstrate this kind of love, you cannot be a soldier that God can be proud of. Let us consider the Godhead: Jesus God the Father is the greatest (John 12:28). God the Father said Jesus as the most exalted name both on earth and in Heaven (Philippians 2:9). The Father sent the Holy Spirit to glorify the Son (John 16:14). Jesus depended on the Holy Spirit all through His ministry on earth and said any one who offends Him will never be forgiven (Mark 2:29). So who then is the greatest among them? Love one another in humility and sincerity!

1. Today I receive the anointing that cannot be insulted by anybody or any power of darkness. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, with much love and thanksgiving. Amen!
2. Anybody anywhere mocking the anointing of God upon my life, Father, let them experience the demonstration of your power. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, with much love and thanksgiving. Amen!
3. Anybody anywhere that wants to stop me from moving forward in 2013, arise O Lord and stop them by your power. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, with much love and thanksgiving. Amen!"
EMMANUEL=GOD WITH US!

ACTION POINT FOR TODAY: Love is so strong that it can completely disarm your strongest foe. Ask God for more of His love in your life.

STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages[a] and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!.
