Today's Scripture *May 19, 2010*

Matthew 20: 20
Then the mother of James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus with her sons. She knelt respectfully to ask a favor.

The mother of James and John came to Jesus and "knelt respectfully to ask a favor". She gave Jesus worship, but her real motive was to get something from Him.
Too often this happens in our churches and in our life. We play religious games, expecting God to give us something in return. True worship, however, adores and praises Christ for who He is and for what He has done.
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

God, we want to worship You in spirit and in truth!
We want to give You our worship as an offering of love and thanksgiving for all that You have already done in our lives and all that You will continue to do.
We worship You for Who You are! Thank You Jesus! In Your Name, Amen..

God bless,
April
