Today's Scripture *March 17, 2010*
Psalm 92: 14
Even in old age they will still produce fruit;
They will remain vital and green.
Honoring God is not restricted to young people who seem to have unlimited strength and energy. Even in old age, devout believers can produce spiritual fruit. There are many faithful older people who continue to have a fresh outlook and can teach us from a life time of experience of serving God. Seek out an elderly friend or relative who can tell you about his or her experiences with the Lord and challenge you to new heights of spiritual growth!
Thank You Jesus, that we never stop growing in You!
We never cease to learn new things in Your Presence!
Help us to use the experiences and examples of the elders of our churches today.
May we take the time to get to know those older Christians who have been filled with such amazing spiritual fruit over the years.
Thank You for the reminder today to value those older people around us. May we listen to their stories of courage and faith.
May we grow and use the fresh outlook that they can teach us. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of glory; It is gained by living a godly life.
Proverbs 20: 29 The glory of the young is their strength; The gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.
God bless you and yours!
