Simple Salvation Church of God

I love to read the epistle to the Hebrews. The Holy Spirit starts at the beginning of Hebrews telling us that God has used many methods to speak to his kids in the past but has in these days chosen to speak to us by and through Jesus. It truly is an awesome word that we can all get a hold of. I grew up in a church that never told us we just might hear Jesus sometime speaking to us. 

In May of 1968 the graciousness of God came forth into my life one morning when I was driving down the highway. Jesus spoke to me that morning and for the first time in my life great hope came into my being that the God who had saved me also wanted to walk with me each day.   I knew that I knew that God had broke through and had communicated with me. I truly had no clue if it would ever happen again but it did put great hope into my soul. A month went by before I heard his voice again. I had begun praying a very simple prayer by telling the Lord that I wanted everything He had for me.

Three months went by since hearing His voice for the first time. I found myself at a meeting one Saturday night where the speaker announced that those who desired to receive all the Lord had for them to come forward. My hope led me into another realm of the Spirit that night as I moved out and came forward to receive from Him. Jesus baptized me in the Holy Ghost that night. The hope that God put in my heart three months previous produced faith that night as I yielded myself to Him.   Glory!

I have been blessed the past couple of days by many of you that read my thoughts. God is so good. Suzanne told me that she had asked the Lord to restore hope inside of her that she might catch his vision for her. She felt that my e-mail was a confirmation from Him that he is doing just that. The path of the just shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day! Amen dear one. I believe you are opening up your spirit to receive visions and dreams for a new day ahead. Continue to wait upon Him.

Let us grasp the awesome truth that Jesus has entered into the presence of God as a forerunner for us, and is declaring to the Father that we are now kings and priest with Him after the order of Melchizedek. Lord, cause us to grasp what You have done for us and grant us grace to walk out the dreams and visions that you have given us. Cause faith to arise as we mediate and contemplate on the hope you have placed in each of us.
