Today's Scripture * June 8, 2009*

Jeremiah 32: 42-44
“This is what the Lord says: Just as I have brought all these calamities on them, so I will do all the good I have promised them.  Fields will again be bought and sold in this land about which you now say, ‘It has been ravaged by the Babylonians, a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.’  Yes, fields will once again be bought and sold—deeds signed and sealed and witnessed—in the land of Benjamin and here in Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah and in the hill country, in the foothills of Judah and in the Negev, too. For someday I will restore prosperity to them. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

This week my husband and I will purchased our first house.
If anyone would have told me that we'd own a home this year--frankly, I probably would have laughed and shrugged it off. But like God's message to Jeremiah ; He restored prosperity to us.
Jason and I were married at a very young age (19 and 20 respectfully). We made many errors early on in our lives together financially. Both of us were never taught the principles of saving, being debt free, or the consequences of credit cards and foolish spending habits. We quickly found ourselves as young married parents heading into bankruptcy.
After two decades of living pay check to pay check--we now find our future-- bright and prosperous!
We are not wealthy financially by any means-- but God has prospered us spiritually, matured us, and showed us financially how He will provide and care for us. God gave us a new desire this year. He caused a stir in our bellies for better things, promising us through His Word and His Holy Spirit that; He would "restore prosperity" to us.
Now we will enter a new season in our lives, much like God promised Judah and Israel in the book of Jeremiah. God taught us how to trust Him. How to lean on His Word and His plans for us.
Now we will turn the key to our new home-- ready and willing to use all He's blessed us with for His glory and to further His Kingdom!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Thank You Lord Jesus for loving each of us with an unfailing and undeserving love!
You care for our day to day needs. You want good and great things for Your Children, O God.
We praise You for all You have done for each of us Lord. And we worship You for all You have yet to do!
We trust in Your Word to us, Lord. You have plans for good and not disaster for those who serve You and are called according to Your purpose. You promise a hope and a future to each of Your children. May we walk in that promise. In Jesus' Name, Amen..

Have a blessed week.
Your sister in Christ,
April
