John 15:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
This Scripture is telling us that we need to remain in the Lord. If we don't remain in the Lord then we could be in a lot of trouble.
We cannot bear fruit if we are not remaining In the Lord. When people say that they need to bear fruit we don't mean that we need apples growing off our arms. It means that we need to be bearing the fruits of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness etc. We need to have those fruits so that we can remain in the Lord and stay close to Him.
Dear Lord,
I pray that You will help us to be the kind of people that have all the fruits of the Spirit so that we can stay closer to You. We love You and want to be more like You and remain in You. I pray that this week we will work on being more like You, Lord Jesus.
