Ashley's Today's Scripture *December 14th 2008*

Isaiah 2:11
Human pride will be brought down,
And human arrogance will be humbled.
Only the Lord will be exalted
      On that day of judgment.

This weeks Sunday Scripture is very powerful.
In Isaiah chapter 2 it is talking about a prophesy given by Isaiah, the son of Amoz.
You may or may not know what prophesy is. The definition is :To foretell or predict.
Isaiah foretold about what was going to happen to Judah and Jerusalem. This is also talking about our day as well, when the end times come.
Any pride that you have will be destroyed you will be brought down. If you are arrogant or self centered you will be humbled.  It is important to stay away from being proud and arrogant. If Jesus came back today would He say to you "Come follow me?".
People who worship idols or false gods will be punished. Only the Lord our God will be exalted and only He will be worshipped. I encourage you to read Isaiah 2 because it has so much detailed information about the times to come. It will teach you and remind you about the things that are coming in the future. Whether you think you will be alive for the end times or if you think you will have passed away, you need to prepare yourselves. God can come and will come whenever He pleases for He is God. The end times could come in the next second, minutes, hour  or year and maybe even 100 years from now. Only God knows. We work by His watch.

Dear Lord,
I pray that You will help us to watch ourselves and make sure that we are not proud or arrogant.
Please help us to read Your Word even when we are busy, making that a priority.
We Love You so much Father. In Jesus' Name We Pray,
Amen
