Today's Scripture *November 14, 2008*

1 Peter 4:5

But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead.

The basis of salvation is our belief in Jesus (Acts 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” ), the basis for judgement is how we have lived.

All people will be judged; believers for the rewards they will receive; unbelievers for punishment. Those who inflict persecution are marked for punishment when they stand before God. All will give an account to God, so we must be ready. This may give you a new perspective on your activities and actions today.

Are you prepared to explain them to God?

Heavenly Father, we love You and adore You.

We lay our lives before You!

May we take a long look at how we live our lives and recommit our actions, desires, motives, and speech to You! In Jesus' Name, Amen
