Today's Scripture *April 11,2008*

Romans 3: 5-8
 “But,” some might say, “our sinfulness serves a good purpose, for it helps people see how righteous God is. Isn't it unfair, then, for him to punish us?” (This is merely a human point of view.) Of course not! If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world?  “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”  And some people even slander us by claiming that we say, “The more we sin, the better it is!” Those who say such things deserve to be condemned.

Some may think they don't have to worry about sin because;
(1) It's God's job to forgive;
(2) God is so loving that He won't judge us;
(3) Sin isn't so bad--it teaches valuable lessons ; or
(4) We need to stay in touch with the culture around us.
It is far to easy to take God's grace for granted! But God cannot overlook sin. No matter how many times we make excuses. Sinners will have to answer to God for their sin and lack of repentance.

Lord Jesus, we love You! We thank You for Your Word and Your promises therein. May we repent from our sin, turn to You for forgiveness, and accept Your grace in our lives. May we turn away from repetitive sin and turn toward You. In Jesus' Name, Amen..

God bless
Love in Him,
April
