Prayer Request:

Final Today's Scripture Devotional

Good day beloved friends, family, and colleagues!

It is with both a sad heart and yet obedience that we write to you with the Final "Today's Scripture" devotional.
It has been nearly seven years of sharing the Gospel and daily applications and prayers with you.
Within those years, each day, receiving the blessing of coming into your homes, places of work, and churches, has truly blessed myself and my family.
Today's Scripture has brought into our home and lives just as much joy as there was joy in sending it to you!
But we are reminded in God's Word of the changing season's in all of our lives:
 Ecclesiastes 3: 1-7
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
And as it is written in the Word here--so it is within the four walls of our household.
The season of daily devotion to sharing God's Word through Today's Scripture and Just the Word ministries has come to an end.
We believe that Today's Scripture was a season to "plant and a time to harvest". And now we belive that the Lord is taking us into the season written of here in verse 7 "A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak". This is our time to mend and our time to be quiet.

Today's Scripture will always be a major part of who I am personally. I started this devotional with a great desire to see practical, daily application of the Word of God in our lives. And that will always be a big part of my life, my heart, my soul, and my family. My sincere prayer is: that through the years and our daily time in study and prayer together--that the desire to read God's Word daily and speak to Jesus daily--will always live on in each of the readers we've had the privilege and blessing of sharing time with through Today's Scripture. Our time coming into your homes "planting, harvesting, building up, embracing, searching, mending and speaking" to one another will forever live on in our lives as Christian brothers and sisters. And although we won't be ministering to you daily--we trust that the Lord will also guide you and show you His desire for your life also. And that together we can all enter into a new season in Him.
God's Word instructs us that all things must come to an end in this life. And that for "everything there is a season".
Today's Scriptures' season has come to an end. But it will always live in our hearts as a season of rich harvesting and eternal blessings.

It has been one of the greatest achievements of my life to daily share the Word of God with you and yours.
And I count it a great joy and privilege to have made so many eternal relationships with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Your prayers, encouragement, support and love will never be forgotten and will live on in our lives here at the Hunt residence.
Jason and Ashley also send their love, gratitude and prayers to all of you, as well.
Sharing the Gospel as a family has brought us closer to one another and closer to Our Father.
It has also directed us as a family as we make this emotional transition into a new season together.

I do not know what the future holds for our ministry online. But I do know that for now--God has clearly shown us the changing of the seasons.
And we truly believe Proverbs 16: 9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
We will follow the Lord and His leading for our family. And carefully walk in the ways that He would have us step.

Today's Scripture devotional was based largely on a thought the Lord gave me on personal relationship and accountability.
And in closing we wish to share that thought with you today.
"Hard to have a relationship with someone when you only know their name ! Get to know Jesus ! Read His Word daily."--Today's Scripture

Now may the love of our Lord Jesus and the Living Word of God bless you all.
May you daily desire an ongoing, personal relationship with the only One who is Worthy to be praised! Jesus Christ.
Seek His Word daily! Walk in His Truth! And always remember to love one another!

Thank you again for allowing our family the unique blessing of coming into your lives through God's Word each day.
You will be missed--but never far from our prayers of thanksgiving.

God bless you as you continue to discover His Word!

In His Continued Service,
April, Jason and Ashley Hunt
